Who we are at our core is shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the stories we tell ourselves. When trauma, loss, or long-term stress impacts our sense of self, we may struggle with self-doubt, shame, or a feeling that we are “not enough.”
This work is about healing your core identity, rebuilding trust in yourself, and rediscovering your value — safely and gently.
How identity is shaped
Your sense of identity develops over time, influenced by:
• Family, relationships, and community
• Life experiences, both joyful and painful
• Internalised messages and beliefs about yourself
Sometimes these influences leave you feeling fragmented, unclear, or disconnected from who you truly are.
Inner critic and shame
The inner critic often whispers:
• “You’re not enough”
• “You shouldn’t feel this way”
•. “You must hide parts of yourself”
Shame and self-criticism are common responses to trauma or unmet needs, but they do not define your worth.
Core beliefs
Core beliefs are the deep rules and assumptions we hold about ourselves and the world.
• Positive beliefs can guide resilience and growth
• Negative beliefs can reinforce self-doubt and fear
Through gentle exploration, we identify which beliefs support you and which may be holding you back.
Rebuilding self-trust
Self-trust is the foundation for confidence, decision-making, and healthy relationships.
• We practice noticing your strengths and successes
•. Explore patterns that undermine trust in yourself
• Develop skills to rely on your own inner guidance
The goal is to feel safe in your own choices and instincts again.
Feeling “enough” again
You are enough — just as you are. This work helps you:
• Quiet the inner critic
• Recognise your inherent value
• Connect with your authentic self
• Live with confidence, presence, and resilience
Identity and self-worth work is a bridge between trauma healing and life coaching, empowering you to move forward while honouring your past.
