At the heart of this practice is a simple belief: healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and respected.
Bryn Lotter is a Life Coach Practitioner and trauma-informed practitioner, and a registered member of the South African Association for Counsellors (SAAC). With over seven years of experience in counselling, trauma therapy, and life coaching, Bryn works with individuals seeking healing, clarity, and sustainable personal growth.
Professional practice is guided by a clear ethical framework, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, client autonomy, and psychological safety.
A practice shaped by lived experience
Bryn’s work is informed not only by professional training, but also by lived experience.
Having navigated childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety, Bryn understands how deeply emotional pain can affect identity, confidence, and everyday functioning.
These experiences opened a deeper awareness: people don’t struggle because they are weak — they struggle because something meaningful has been overwhelming or unresolved.
This understanding became the foundation for a lifelong commitment to trauma-informed care.
Training, experience, and approach
Bryn has completed extensive training in psychology, counselling, and coaching, with focused study in:
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and low mood
• Trauma and nervous system regulation
• Identity and core belief work
Specialising in trauma therapy, Bryn uses evidence-based approaches such as the Rewind Technique, which allows clients to process traumatic experiences safely — without reliving or re-experiencing them.
Sessions are paced, collaborative, and always client-led.
Life coaching with emotional safety
Life coaching within this practice is not about pressure, performance, or pushing past limits.
It is trauma-aware and grounded in emotional safety.
Coaching work focuses on:
• Clarifying identity, values, and direction
• Building confidence and self-trust
• Working with past experiences rather than ignoring them
• Creating sustainable change rooted in self-compassion
This approach supports growth without bypassing healing.
Faith and values (optional integration)
Bryn has also completed four years of Bible school training, which has shaped a strong foundation of compassion, integrity, and respect for human dignity.
Christian values may be gently integrated only if a client explicitly requests it.
Faith is never assumed, imposed, or used as a replacement for psychological care.
Psychological safety always comes first.
How Bryn works
The approach is:
•. Trauma-informed and client-centred
•. Ethical and professionally grounded
• Respectful of boundaries and consent
• Adapted to each individual’s pace and needs
Clients are never rushed, fixed, or judged.
Rooted in care, guided by integrity
Alongside private practice, Bryn also runs Rooted After the Storm, a free-access initiative offering trauma education, resources, and limited free sessions for those who cannot afford support. This work reflects a commitment to accessibility, dignity, and ethical care.
A steady guide
Whether you are seeking trauma therapy, life coaching, or simply a safe space to begin, Bryn’s role is not to lead your life — but to walk alongside you with skill, care, and respect. Take the next Step.
