Some people don’t need more advice. They need safety, understanding, and space to breathe again.

Rooted After the Storm exists to make trauma-informed support and education accessible — especially for those who cannot afford traditional wellness or therapy services.

The meaning behind the name

Storms change us. They can uproot, overwhelm, and leave us unsure of who we are or where we stand.

But healing does not mean pretending the storm never happened.
It means becoming rooted again — steadier, wiser, and more grounded than before.

Rooted After the Storm reflects this truth:
growth is possible because of what was survived, not in spite of it.

Why this exists

Not everyone has access to ongoing therapy or wellness support.
Many people are left to navigate trauma, stress, grief, and emotional overwhelm alone — not because they don’t want help, but because help feels financially out of reach.

Rooted After the Storm was created to change that.

This space offers:

•   Trauma education without cost
•   Free resources that support nervous system regulation
•   Podcast conversations that normalise healing
•   Limited free sessions for those who cannot afford paid support

There is no obligation, no pressure, and no hidden expectation.

You arrive as you are.

A different approach to accessibility

Rooted After the Storm is not charity-based and not crisis-driven.
It is dignity-based.

The only “payment” is your presence — you show up, engage honestly, and take what supports your healing.

This approach honours:

•   Autonomy
•   Personal agency
•.  Respect for each individual’s journey

No one is asked to prove their pain or justify their need.

Education as empowerment

A core part of healing is understanding what is happening inside you.

Rooted After the Storm focuses strongly on:
•   Trauma education
•   Nervous system awareness
•   Emotional literacy
•.  Identity and meaning after adversity

These resources are for everyone — whether you are accessing free support or are in paid sessions elsewhere.

Education is not a replacement for therapy, but it can be a powerful foundation for healing.

How it began

Rooted After the Storm started approximately four years ago as informal pro bono work — supporting individuals who needed help but could not afford it.

Over time, the need grew. So did the vision.

What began quietly has now become a structured, intentional part of my practice — still grounded in compassion, still ethically held, and still personally overseen.

At present, this initiative is run entirely by me.

How it works today

Rooted After the Storm currently offers:

•   Free educational resources
•   A trauma-informed podcast – Coming Soon.
•   Limited free session availability
•   Clear boundaries to protect safety and sustainability

Availability may change, and free sessions are limited, but the resources remain open and accessible.

Looking ahead

In time, Rooted After the Storm may grow into its own ministry or non-profit organisation — opening space for broader access, collaboration, and community support.

For now, it exists simply as this:
A grounded place to learn, stabilise, and begin again.

You are welcome here

Whether you are:
• Seeking understanding
• Supporting your own healing
• Learning about trauma
• Or finding your footing after a difficult season

Rooted After the Storm is here for you.

Gently.
Respectfully.
Without obligation.
